Education: S.M. and Ph.D., Electrical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1998. B.S. Electrical Engineering, U. of Maryland at College Park, 1991. B.M. in Music (Piano performance), U. of Maryland at College Park, 1991.

Teaching Interests: Engineering Acoustics, Circuits, Discrete Systems, Frontiers of Nanotechnology, Optics and Optoelectronics.

Research Interests: Acoustical analogues in electrical engineering, Characterization of keyboard instruments and signal processing for music signals. Acoustics/nano interface.

Work experience: Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Lawrence Post-doctoral Fellow, 1998 -2000, Scientist, 2000-02)
